Identity and flight
Kate’s official name is Kate Evans, callsign Little Bee, rank Lieutenant Commander. She leads Queen Flight, the other flight aboard Endurance alongside Joker Flight.
A reference to “Little Bee” or “Queen Flight Lead” therefore identifies Kate, not the Joker 3 or Joker 4 position.
What the official introduction says
Kate is described as a calm, accomplished pilot who works to protect the pilots of both flights. She wears bandages and conceals her fear while keeping a positive attitude toward the people under her command.
The introduction does not establish a specific incident that caused her injuries or disclose her later Campaign fate. Those cannot be derived from the bandages alone.
Kate versus Jessica Pike
Kate leads a flight. Jessica Pike is Endurance’s executive officer, overseeing ship operations for Captain Gordon. Those are different responsibilities.
